I am a painter fascinated by ancient art-forms and primitive cultures. This fascination began whilst studying for my degree in Anthropology. I am interested in the beginnings of expression and language in its pictorial form. My work is an attempt to access my unconscious mind and I create ‘raw’ artworks which express my internal emotions. My art practice links me into that instinctual drive for expression which began with our ancient ancestors.
